I woke up recently with a real hankering for some pinball. I don’t know why but at that moment, I knew that I needed to find a few local arcades. Are you with me here? Do you want to play a game of Q*bert but just don’t know where to do it? Well, I found a few places that are going to suit your fancy and help you get your game on.

A nickel can go a long way at Buffalo Nickels

When I saw that Buffalo Nickels had video games that I could play for a nickel, I just didn’t believe. It turns out that it is true and they have Mini-Golf, as they call it. It is important to note that some of their reviews say that the course could use some help.

This is a great place to take the kids if they love winning tickets for prizes. They are reportedly generous with the tickets and the kids can play for a long time at those prices. Some of the games may take a few extra nickels but even at 15 cents, your dollars will stretch far.

If you are looking for some nostalgic charm and you can forgive a bit of cheese, this is the perfect kind of place to spend an afternoon.

Staying with the theme of having a good time for a nickel, I wanted to share another local DFW find that you will just have to see for yourself. But before you head out for your afternoon of pinball and arcade madness, shake out your cushions and hunt for those nickels.

D Magazine voted this joint one of the Top 5 Arcades in the metroplex, and reported to have one of the biggest pinball collections around.

Do you wish that you had buddies who love pinball as much as you?

Well, if you live in the DFW you are set because the folks at DFW Pinball & Arcade Club want to be your friend. This is a group of pinball fans that like to meet up, talk about pinball and other similar topics. They even have special events such as the Texas Pinball Festival (Next one is March 18-20, 2016 in Frisco.)
