A Little Wine, A Little Magic: Trigg Watson’s Checkered Past

… Checkered Past Winery, that is. Aussie-born turned Dallas magician Trigg Watson is taking date night to a high-tech level with his sold-out shows in Dallas. Using props such as iPhones, iPads, and also—apropos for a winery—bottles of good red, Trigg ushers guests onto the stage and wows them (and the audience) one by one.

Trigg was featured on the CW television program Penn & Teller’s Fool Us for the chance to win a five-star trip to Las Vegas to perform as the opener in the magic masters’ show at the Rio Hotel & Casino. (Forward to 20:33 to catch Trigg’s segment showing off his combo of stand-up comedy chops and sleight of hand.) They didn’t find him by accident: This magic man is reportedly a two-time winner of the Texas Magicians Contest and is the highest scoring American magician at the World Magic Contest in Vegas.

Trigg has four more winery shows on his calendar this fall: September 28 & 29 and October 19 & 20 at 7 pm or 9:30 pm. Tickets are $20, with food and drink an extra cost. Magic show Dallas tickets sell out fast, and only 45 tickets are sold at each show so everyone gets a cozy view of the stage.
