These days when I think of local wineries my mind naturally goes right to the city of Grapevine. Sure, the wineries there are great, I even got married in one. But I recently discovered that Bedford has one too. And it’s been here for over a year, right in the heart of Bedford, down a block or so from the Old Bedford School, in a little white strip mall.

Owners of the Silver Dollar Winery, Richard and Melanie Bowen, seek pristine grapes and work closely with skilled growers to blend the best custom wine to serve to customers.
Our vineyards for our red wines/varietals are located in West Texas in the Brownfield area and our vineyards for our white varietals come from North Texas area near Bonham.
Silver Dollar Winery
This winery is a great place to go if you just want to sit down, enjoy a glass of wine and a bit of cheese. Check out their menu. (I highly suggest the blue cheese bacon dip.)
Wine Ice Cream
This is where it gets really dangerous. These guys didn’t just open a winery in the middle of HEB, they also gave us wine ice cream.
It is just not fair to my waistline.
But now they have found a way into the heart and soul of Bedford.
