Yeah, so Friday and Saturday, you’ll want to steer clear of the grocery stores if you want to avoid being sardined in between carts full of beer, chips and hot dogs for the BIG GAME DAY house parties. …Take in some lovely vintage at the Another Time & Place exhibit in McKinney. Featuring artwork by Beth Fields and Andrea Holmes, the show will highlight vignettes that weave stories of the past approaching the present. Fields grew up in the North Dallas suburbs, and Holmes is based in Anna. Friday 6-9pm, Saturday 6-9pm, Sunday 1-4pm. The Cove – 402 N. Tennessee St, McKinney.

Sunday, we couch, and eat. Before that, we run. 

The Super Run 5k is happening Saturday, and registration is still open. The run partners with non-profits nationwide to raise funds and awareness. Put on your cape and run for a cause. 8am-11am Bachman Lake 3500 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas.

It’s time to get those hands dirty. We’re seeing hints of Spring around the corner, and that landscape isn’t going to design itself. Sign up for the Be Your Own Landscape Designer class at AgriLife Water University, and show that yard who’s the boss. From 9a until 11am Sunday morning, Denton Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center presents a Foodscaping class FREE. Not that much of an early riser? They have one on May 30th in the evening too. More details about incorporating edible plants into your landscape on their facebook page.

The Dallas Opera performed their very first season in 1957.
