Move over ’40s big band, there’s a new cat in town. Austin-based band The Nightowls came to Dallas for the first time to rock our socks off. The 10-piece band (yes, you heard that right: 10 piece band) brought out people young and old to Three Links in Deep Ellum for a Thursday night to remember.

Dressed in suits and glitzy dresses, the Nightowls took to the stage with a fervent energy that reverberated throughout the bar. From the lead singer, backup vocals to the brass and saxophone trio, the entire band danced across the stage, invigorating the Thursday night crowd.

Playing through plenty of their older tracks, the Nightowls also gave Dallas a sneak peek of a new single off their new EP Royal Sessions. Their most popular track “Get Up!” had the most energy as Ryan guided everyone to dance their heart away.

I could go on and on about how much energy that The Nightowls performed with but a picture is worth a thousand words and a video is worth a million. Check out their music video for “Get Up!” and try not to clap your hands, stomp your feet or move your hips and do the twist.

If you happened to miss them, they will come back to Dallas June 10th at The Rustic.

Coming up at Three Links: Red City Radio, Tattoo Fest after-shows
